Morsbags

Our first meeting with Rosie was in Lutterworth Town Hall at the 'Get set, grow!' event in May 2009. She immediately began to convert us to Morsbags. Rosie collects curtains, quilts, sheets etc and recycles them into fantastic re-usable shopping bags. She then gives away these 'Morsbags' in the hope that they will be used for shopping instead of plastic bags.
Lutterbags!

Rosie's wish was that a 'pod' of morsbag makers would be set up in Lutterworth and now her dream has come true! Thanks to Jane, Dee and the Enterprise Centre a pod has been established and Morsbags are being made by students from Lutterworth College and volunteers from the One Stop Shop.
Plastic bag free day

Saturday September 13th saw volunteers giving away Morsbags at Lutterworth Farmers' Market and encouraging the shoppers to go 'plastic bag free'. There was a very positive response from the shoppers, contacts made with like-minded people and further events are planned.
